PinellasCounty.org is a site that I use often mainly because I work for Pinellas County. The site is a wealth of information for where we live. Often up-to-date news is posted on the site about upcomming events, hurricanes, legislation, and road/park projects.
Pinellascounty.org has a 3 column layout similar to what we have seen in class. A quick scan of the homepage reveals many links to different county departments. Current 911 Activity is displayed on the left hand side. This way you can see what is happening in the area where you live if you happen to hear sirens go by. This is also the department where I work, so you can check and see if I'm busy or not.
